After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.

Prompt: I felt proud of my poster. When designing my poster I learned better techniques on Adobe Express for organization and art. My feedback made me realize I did a good job with these techniques. Summary: Today we did an assignment about A.I. and reviewed the posters of our classmates. Reflection: I learned about the influence of A.I. on school.

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

My hardest topic to write about was writing about failure. I could not think of an exact example of when I had experienced failure that I came back from. It was also hard to come up with figurative language that had to do with this topic. I overcame this by not specifying a specific time in my simile. Summary: Today we worked on our digital posters. Reflection: I got better at writing similes.

Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt: Initially I struggled with this assignment. At some point, however, I started having an easier time coming up with similes and metaphors about my life. When this happened, I began to enjoy the process of creating unique similes and metaphors. I think that this really helped me become a creative writer. Summary: Today I created similes and metaphors. Reflection: I learned things about myself.

Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Prompt: I did not do anything too out of the ordinary over break. I usually stayed home or I went out with friends. This is the way I wanted my break to be. I used my break to get plenty of rest and come back to schools feeling refreshed. Summary: Today we read a Maya Angelou poem. Reflection: I learned about a new poet.

If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality

I would choose a playlist, text message, and a meal. I enjoy listening to music so I would choose the playlist. I like expressing myself in a typed format so I would choose the text message. Lastly, I would choose a meal because I enjoy making food.

Now that you have completed the rhetorical analysis essay, reflect on your growth. Explain how this experience impacted your confidence as a writer and whether you feel prepared to continue analyzing complex speeches and texts in American Literature. Support your reflection with specific references to the writing process.

Prompt Response:  I feel more confident as a writer. I am a lot more qualified when writing a rhetorical analysis. I also think I am more qualified overall as a writer. Summary: Today we wrote our essay. Reflection:  I think I wrote a good essay.

Today, you learned how to complete a rhetorical analysis planning guide step by step, from identifying the rhetorical situation to analyzing devices and effects. Reflect on one step of the rhetorical analysis process that helped you understand the process more clearly. Explain what you learned during that step and how it improved your ability to analyze a speaker’s message.

Prompt: The brainstorming phase is very important. It defines your entire essay. It also takes a large load off of your shoulders so you can just get right into writing. Summary: Today we continued working on our essay prep. Reflection: I prepared myself for my essay.
